Homeless at the ‘G

The MCG is hallowed turf – but it doesn’t make for much of a bed.

HMF Chairman Harold Mitchell found this out the hard way on 18 April, at Melbourne City Mission’s annual “Sleep at the ‘G”. Together with thousands of other Melbournians, Mr Mitchell raised awareness of, and money for, the city’s homeless youth by becoming homeless himself for a night.

Established more than 150 years ago, Melbourne City Mission provides essential services such as accommodation, education and healthcare for people between the ages of 12 and 24.
