Dr Kiymet Bozaoglu is a senior research officer at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute. The Harold Mitchell Fellowship enabled her to attend the International Congress of Obesity (ICO), a prestigious conference in Sweden attended by experts all over the globe.
Dr Bozaoglu was also able to attend the annual meeting of the Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) in Sydney, where she got insights into what other groups in Australia are working on and set up collaborations with them.
“Attendance to both these meetings was an invaluable experience,” she says, “and has assisted in getting my research known at both the national and international arena and has opened up collaborations for future work.”
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Harold Mitchell Foundation.”
